Eco develops framework for assessments of impacts of international programme
How can a donor assess whether their project grants are having a real impact? And how can they track and report the overall impacts of a portfolio of projects? Is it wise to track energy savings or GHG emission reductions from capacity building projects where these type of impacts are indirect? When more than one donor or stakeholder supports a project, how does one attribute the impacts to the support? The Eco-IISD consortium under contract to the REEEP is tackling these complex questions.

Eco’s mid-term evaluation points way to more effective projects
Eco Ltd has carried out the mid-term evaluation of a full-scale GEF project on energy efficiency in the municipal heating and hot water sector in Armenia for a multilateral development organisation. Building on our knowledge of the heating sector in the region, Eco’s expert carried out an in-depth analysis of the project design, and implementation to date, and identified lessons learnt and developed recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of the project.
Eco's monitoring software supports ProBEC

Eco Ltd has developed a Results-Based Monitoring (RBM) system for the Programme for Basic Energy and Conservation (ProBEC).
ProBEC commissioned the RBM system to meet the challenge of collecting high-quality consistent data across many projects and countries in a format that would meet diverse donor reporting requirements and inform the project implementation process.
Biomass Energy Lessons Learnt
Eco is the lead consultant for the development of this lesson's learnt report on "Opportunities for Biomass Energy Programmes - Experiences and Lessons Learnt", which is part of a Lessons for the Future, Monitoring and Evaluation Report Series. Eco is also the author of the Southern and Eastern Africa, and the European region chapters of the report as well as the introductory and the concluding chapters.
