Ian Househam is a consultant at Eco Ltd. He holds an MSc (Distinction) in Environment, Technology from Imperial College, London (1990) and a BSc in Physics, also from Imperial College (1984). He combines a background in engineering research with experience in teaching environmental economics and project appraisal. His experience includes research into the impacts of trade on sustainable development in the electricity sector, and the development of a financing plan for energy efficiency in Armenia. More recently, Mr Househam has led a number of projects to promote the adoption of environmentally sustainable energy technologies and practices in low-income households in South Africa.
